Guests & Amigos
It was the first time to Asuncion for Bob and his pal Brian…but it sure wont be the last. Bob is one of the finest story tellers I have ever met and he kept me laughing the whole time they were here….they are excellent candidates for the most fun guests of the year award!! They had a great time fishing with Faustino and have a new best bud now! They caught lots of nice yellowtail fishing for 2 days and made a big impression on the village. Thanks guys for bringing all those donations of clothes, blankets and goodies for the folks in the village.
and yet another dirt biker group visited…too bad it rained that day and they couldnt fish.
We’ve had a fun week with pals who have fished with us before…these guys
came prepared this time with their off road bikes, a couple boats and a cool Rhino they go beach fishing with. They had a super week except for a mishap they had with a coop fishing boat hitting their Striper fishing boat while it was anchored. They are a fun bunch and spread their joy around the village.
Ray and David had a great time in the Rock Rooms…fishing, eating seafood and trying out local restaurants. Here they are packing up for home with a beautiful sunrise to cheer them up…they will be back soon with their families.
We all enjoyed getting together in the afternoons after the fishermen got back in with their catch to listen to their fish tales.
It has been great to welcome back so many old friends this month both visitors and residents here who are returning from the north to spend the winters here. Nancy & David of Galeria Bahia have now severed their ties back home and will be here full time…great for us as they have such a wonderful party house that has been dubbed “The Fun House” by our last guests who celebrated their birthday here. Joan was the guest of honour at a scrumptious pot luck dinner at the Gallery.
Here are some old friends who come every year to fish with Juan and as usual,
they werent disappointed..the weather was perfect for their stay here and they went home loaded up with lots of yellowtail, calico, bonita and grouper.
Doug has been crowned the calico king of this season when he landed this
monster 6.7 lb bass…they had their best calico fishing day ever…threw back more than they caught by far.
see ya next year boys!
Our old pals Wiley & Carol showed up in their little RV to get out of the heat in La Paz where they live. They spent some time enjoying
San roque and came to town to celebrate Wiley’s 79th birthday. We had a little fiesta at Loncheria Mari where we had lots of fresh crab which is Wiley’s favorite!
some folks from Bahia Tortugas joined in the fun as we sang happy birthday to Wiley!
New friends Mike & Raquel from San Diego only planned to stay a couple days at the B&B but ended up being here for over a week so they could celebrate Mike’s birthday and attend our skipper Miguel Angel & Evalin’s wedding party. It was really fun having them around and hearing about their upcoming trip to south america.

Gus & his girlfriend from Boston arrived in style in this cool Russian motorcycle with a sidecar and helped us celebrate Mike’s birthday too!
they all loved going to Asuncion Island to play with the sealions too.
Art & Nora from Arizona dropped in with their custom 4X4 motor home to
check out our village. We had a wonderful time showing off our area and they got into the spirit of things at dinner at Loncheria Maris! They enjoyed getting out of the RV and into the B&B and had a nice breakfast on our patio with other guests Al & Estela who were here from Mulege to get out of the heat.
It was our pleasure to show some first time guests around Asuncion. Tony
Marrs and his wife Kerry flew their small plane here from Arizona and were really enthusiastic about our village. They loved the long deserted beaches and how lovely and cool it is in the summer here. And they couldnt get over how friendly the townfolk are…they are already planning to bring their friends down on their next visit. Asuncion is an excellent fly in destination with it’s well maintained air strip and so many things to see and do once you get here.
We always have the greatests guests visiting who are so interesting and usually lots of fun….here they are in all their glory!
Maria and her novio Ricardo enjoy getting over to the cool side from
Mulege…
they loved our climate so much, they decided to stay here for good and bought a little fixer upper house. Ricardo landed a job right away working building houses and Maria is getting creative on how to fix up their new place…they will be a terrific addition to Asuncion…welcome!!!
The Saskatchewaners were here for a couple weeks and had a blast diving and partying…here is an album of them snorkeling with sealions and another of them diving…Tara finished up her course and I did my open water dives to get PADI certified too…wooo hooo

We had a great visit from my pal Ken and his son Aiden…Ken had a great
time paddling around with gray whales in front of our place…pretty cool.
We love our biker buddies Ged & David….a regular Laurel & hardy act!
Ged broke his foot this trip but rode around with it like that anyway!
Authors John and Barbara had a great time relaxing here and taught me
alot about self publishing.
One of our all time favorite amigos is Rick who taught us alot about wine and was always there to listen to our woes and share our joys…love ya man
its always fun when kids come to town and here are Roberto’s girls with
ther pals Erin & mister
